out of the blue” is the third part of an ongoing series of works that began with two camera-activated installations entitled, “Always” and AlwaysCMA”, both of which are completed by the viewer at night by taking flash photographs in contrast, this series “out of the blue” is made in the direct sunlight, with a photographic process that invites chance and unpredictable conditions.

DESCRIPTION: A collection of thirty-two prints on paper hung at eye level that touch side to side in a long row that wraps around the walls of the exhibition space. The prints are all made in various blue tones. The imagery in these works includes floral and botanical fields and hands and arms that overlap and interact densely with architectural shapes of columns, aches and wall and floor plains.
